Classroom Speakers

I bought 2 sets of these speakers for the 2nd grade classrooms because what they were using were pitiful!!!They plugged these up and their classrooms came to life with sound! They took movement breaks and we could hear them through the walls!!! LOVED IT because the kids loved it!!!I would buy them again in a heartbeat!!! <3

Better than expected

Very nice small speaker package, easy to set up and sounds good in my small bedroom hooked into my desktop.Not a gamer but they seem like they would be just fine for thatVolume control puck is new to me but I like it, smooth operation and a nice feel to it ( smaller than I thought it would be too)Music sounds goodFor the price you can’t go wrong

BIG bass!

If you like a bass-heavy sound in your computer’s audio system, this one almost over-delivers. Placed on your workstation, the down pointing woofer can make pens and paperclips rattle at top end. I have a big, solid oak teacher’s desk (about sixty or seventy years old, I think) that acts as a huge resonating cavity. Consequently, the bass response is enough to annoy the hell out of my upstairs neighbor. I use earphones after 8:30 pm but even in the phones (TASCAM full-cup design), the bass can be quite fatiguing.The two satellite speakers deliver a crisp clear upper mid and treble with just a hint of hiss above 4 Khz. It would be nice if CA provided a simple tone/volume program because Windows doesn’t offer one. An add-on program can be quite expensive. My last system, an Altec Lansing design from Logitec, came with a plug ‘n play subprogram that allowed me to tune the ambiance, 4-way balance, and up to six different EQ parameters. Surely Cyber Acoustics could do the same?The volume control and accessory outs are really nice. The amp section seems to be really powerful because this beast is about twice as loud as my old A-L system. Seriously, LOUD.Overall, a good deal for your dollar, especially if you like the mad bass, not so much if you have cranky neighbors. They can hear this sucker from three apartments away, even at roughly half-way.

Much Better Than Expected

Since I’ve been working from home for the past month, I’ve been upgrading all of my equipment. The last thing on the list was sound.My criteria was that it had to be a 2.1 system, have independent “subwoofer” volume control, have decent sound, and be around $50.00.It was a tall order, as everything in that price range has some, but not all of the features I wanted.I chose this unit because it met my criteria, and I have familiarity with CA, as I’ve owned a smaller set of CA speakers for many years. So, I pretty much knew what I was going to get. Not great. But serviceable.This set was actually better than expected. Not great. But, serviceable.The bass has some punch, however it lacks depth and richness. It’s unreasonable for me to expect better performance at this price point. To get a little more punch out of it, I initially placed it with the port facing a corner. However, the sound became muddy. I undid that and simply placed the port facing me under my desk. This eliminated the muddiness, and now it does what it is designed to do, provide fuller sound.The side speakers are very bright and clear, almost tinny. Since the “subwoofer” handles low and mid frequencies they do not need a full range. They are loud enough, and are serviceableThrough EQ, I was able to get these speakers, and “subwoofer” dialed in to handle a wide range of music styles with decent bass, and clarity at high volumes.Summary: They are very serviceable and performed better than expected.

Like a small theater

My boyfriend is a gamer and loves having the sound while playing. We got these speakers and boy are they amazing. It literally sounds like surround sound when he is playing I feel like I’m in the game with him. Definitely a good buy and worth the price!!

For 50 bucks dies

I owned this product for a little over 2 months and then it doesn’t work tried multiple Jack’s and nothing sound doesn’t come out of anything my oc doesn’t even register it is connected anymore trash trash trash. I had a similar one for 50 bucks in high school the thing went with me everywhere and last 1 year but this 2 months and your out with this brand

Not terrible for the price – but nothing to write home about

People reviewing these as “Great” sound are clearly mistaken. It’s mid-range heavy more than a little muddy compared to really great speakers. That said, they’re under fifty bucks, so what do you expect?For the money, I’d call it a good purchase — if they last a few years. My big hope is that they’re more reliable than Logitech ones of the same price level. I’ve grown to hate Logitech speakers.I do like having the remote volume control and headphone jack, and in fact it was a key buying feature for me within the “cheap speakers” choices. The desktop speakers themselves are small and exposed (easily damaged) which seems to be the trend now. Being able to see the domes doesn’t make speakers better. I’d rather have a sturdy grill protecting them, but that’s just me.The wiring is straightforward, though the distance between left and right is strangely limited. I guess they’re meant to go just past the sides of a big monitor, not all the way across the desk. Okay, fine.They’re basic speakers. They sound like basic speakers. They feel like basic speakers. They look like basic speakers. You get what you pay for.
